Tribute to Professor Oya Başak [Re]reading Shakespeare in Text and Performance

‘Like all my classmates, I was encompassed by Oya Başak’s zest and deep love of literature. She graduated from Robert College in 1981 and from Boğaziçi University in 1985. She received her M.A. in English at Southern Illinois University in 1987 and her Ph.D. at BU in 1992. She is one of a countless number of students influenced by the legendary chair of the English Department
