Wolf Watch (Teen Readers Level-3)

A wolf has attacked and killed several calves from one of the herds of the Salter ranch. Grant Salter expects his son Rob to shoot the wolf on sight, but his girlfriend, Cheryl, an environmentalist, has other ideas about how to stop the wolf. When she persuades Rob to let her stay with him up on the ridge with the cattle, operation 'Wolf Watch' begins, and Rob has to decide between his father and his girlfriend, between carrying out his father's orders or doing what his girlfriend expects of him.
