Mapping The Landscape of Translator- Training Research in Türkiye A Review of Studies from 2000 to 2020

In Türkiye, translator training in higher education institutions has a history of four decades. Today, over 70 universities offer a range of translator-training programs, from two-year associate degrees to doctoral programs. This growth has led to a substantial body of research dedicated to translator training. Mapping the Landscape of Translator-Training Research in Türkiye: A Review of Studies from 2000 to 2020 delves into translator-training research conducted in or related to the Turkish context since the beginning of the new millennium. This study highlights the emerging trends, insights, and challenges characterizing translator-training practice and research in Türkiye, while also identifying areas where research gaps exist. These areas of interest can serve as a roadmap for researchers to address relevant questions and challenges that have arisen as Translation Studies and translator training continue to evolve.
