Sustainability

The very high initial costs in various areas put users at a loss in the long run when the system is not sustainable. In this respect, the importance of taking into account the maintenance costs is becoming an increasingly important issue in investments. Even if investments made without forward planning bring profits in the short term, the possible harms they can cause to the environment and people in the long run have only just begun to be discussed. The increase in awareness with globalization has also developed the sense of obligation to leave a better world to future generations. Sustainability, which is a very general concept, deals with different arguments in different fields. In the chapters of this book, the elements of sustainability are discussed in as many different areas as possible.
