The Museums of Turkey

Today in Turkey there are 192 archaeogical and ethnographic museum, museum-memorials and museum-houses classified as museum. There are no seperate directories or catalogues for these museums, most of which are attached to and adminitered by the Ministery of Culture. These are only a few guides for some major museums. In this book, we have tried to provide information about all the museums in Turkey, in the form of a guide. As it is the only book of its kind, we hope that it will be useful to the readers.
