YKKS Kente Bir Açılım, Yapı Kredi Kültür Sanat (YKKS) binasının yeniden inşa sürecinin ve tasarım konseptinin ardında yatan hikâyeleri anlatıyor. Çizgisel olmayan bir kurguyla, binanın yeni mimarisini oluşturan öğeleri, olayları ve anlatıları bir araya getiriyor. Kitap, Galatasaray binasının özgün serüveninin yanı sıra, Yapı Kredi’nin 1950’lerden bugüne kültür ve sanat alanlarındaki yolculuğunu ve TEĞET Mimarlık Ofisi’nin YKKS’nin nihai formunda cisimleşen karakterini yansıtıyor. YKKS An Opening to the City tells the stories behind the design conception and reconstruction process of the Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts (YKKS) building. It takes the form of a compilation of non-linear accounts about the significant elements or incidents that constituted the new architecture of the building. Besides presenting the specific story of Galatasaray building, the book reflects on Yapı Kredi Bank’s influence in the fields of culture and arts since the 1950s and the role of TEGET Architectural Office in shaping the final form of YKKS.
